Belt and Road Tournament 2

  1. We are proud to announce that Nepal will be the host country of the second annual MKW Belt and Road Championship Tournament this May 11 in Kathmandu in an event that we are calling MKW Belt & Road Championship Tournament: Nepal.

Last year in Harbin, China, Middle Kingdom Wrestling combined China’s One Belt One Road Initiative with the athleticsm, spectacle and excitement of professional wrestling to create the MKW Belt & Road Championship Tournament as a way to promote friendship, improve diplomatic ties and do what we do best: put on the best professional wrestling for our fans. It was a massive success for not only MKW and the Chinese pro wrestling scene, but for all countries that were involved in the first ever Belt & Road pro wrestling tournament.

By promoting Peace, Prosperity and Professional wrestling through China’s One Belt One Road Initiative; this is the future of interregional pro wrestling development. We are excited to work together with Nepal Ring Wrestling Association(NRWA) and the government of Nepal to bring the next historic step in pro wrestling development that will bring smiles to the people of this wonderful and beautiful west Asian country.

Already announced is an ll-star main event of current MKW Belt & Road champion Black Mamba, facing off in an all for one four way match that also includes Hong Kong, China’s Ash Silva, New Zealand’s Tommy Combat and Nepal’s very own pro wrestling super star, Nuwakote Tiger!

All members from The Stable, including MKW world champion Big Sam will also be in competition at MKW Belt & Road Championship Tournament: Nepal, as well as Chinese pro wrestlers such as “Masterclass” Michael Su, Bamboo Crusher and DaBai.

MKW Belt & Road Championship Tournament: Nepal is going to be a Mount Everest sized pro wrestling event that will showcase the best of the best wrestlers in Nepal and the world and celebrate the strong bond between China and Nepal and their commitment to the One Belt, One Road.

MKW Belt & Road Championship Tournament: Nepal will be held in the Rangasaala Kabad Hall, Tripureshor in Kathmandu on May, 11 with a 3:00 PM start time.
